A friend of mine joined the Tulsa Fire Department several years ago leaving the world of graphic design. This year he called me and asked if I would help him out with a Christmas present. We decided to take portraits of the crew in front of the firetrucks. He invited me to bring my son by to look at the firetrucks and scout for the shoot. My son and I arrived there and as soon as we walked in and they got a call. A firefighter came done the pole and they took off in the truck. At first I thought they did it for us as a show but they didn’t return. We waited awhile and they came back and we started to look at the trucks and they got another call and off they went. So I knew when we did they shoot it might take awhile. They might have to leave for several calls in between shooting. We picked a night and the shoot went without a hitch.
